Our swimming school has two convenient locations for anyone looking to learn or improve their swimming skills near Capernwray and Hornby. Capernwray
Capernwray Hall, Carnforth, Lancashire LA6 1AG
Free parking is provided on the main drive with a short walk to the pool, which is clearly signposted.
Hornby
Melling Rd, Hornby LA2 8LH
Lune Valley Swimming Pool have a car park located at the front of the building which is free to use.
Capernwray
We provide various lessons at any one time ranging from three years upwards. This enables families with siblings and children of varying abilities to be taught either at the same time or back to back lessons in most cases.
The Pool
Built in 2000 and measuring 18 metres x 7.5 metres, with a depth of 1m at the shallow end and a maximum depth of 1.5 metres at the deep end.
Warm Facilities
The pool is a warm pool with a temperature of approximately 29 degrees, making it ideal for teaching stages 1 – 7 of the ASA National Plan for teaching swimming.
Comfortable Seating
A comfortable seating area is available in the foyer during children’s lessons with a vending and drinks machine.
Hornby
In 2018, after 18 months of closure, the pool is newly refurbishment and looks better than ever. With comfortable seating, you can watch swimming lessons in the waiting area through a live screen TV.
The Pool
Renovated in 2018 and measuring 15 metres x 6 metres, with a depth of 0.9m at the shallow end and a maximum depth of 1.9 metres at the deep end.
Great Location
Easy access by bus from Lancaster and Kirby Lonsdale (bus stop right outside the pool) and there's lots of parking.
Changing Facilities
Large changing facilities appropriate for all family needs.
